About Me

I have grown up around horses since the age of 4 when I started riding lessons and owned my first pony at 7 which I had at home in South Wales with my mother's horse. At 13 i started going hunting with the Llangeinor of which the master of the hunt was a farrier. Over time I begun work experience with him leading up to beginning my pre-farrier course at Herefordshire College.

Upon completing my pre-farrier course I moved to Devon after being offered an apprenticeship with Peter-Challis Hircock AWCF Bsc(Hons) who was a well respected training farrier and had completed higher qualifications while specialising in laminitis.

After 3 years of my apprenticeship and having competed as an apprentice I tore a ligament in my wrist which led to surgery and a long recovery. Once I was able to work again my partner and I decided to move to Cambridgeshire where I worked with racehorses for a while but found my feet working for Aaron Gent Dip WCF and Martin Beadle Dip WCF with  a range of horses but mainly on polo ponies which I had always had a love for, along with getting to help out on veterinary referrals at Rossdales Equine Hospital.

In September 2020 I finally completed my lifetime goal which was to pass my diploma and set up my own business.
